It has been 221 days since the world has seen NFL football. It has been 314 days since the last time the Titans have taken the field for a WPIAL football game.
Tomorrow night that all changes. There has been a lot of controversy with the Titans football team in the last year. Even though the team can not make the WPIAL playoffs for the 2020 season, they are still practicing as hard as they would any other year.
The Titans are being overlooked already but never count the Titans out. They will have a new look this year but one player will be the same. Nahki Johnson, University of Pittsburgh recruit, a 6 ft 3 235 is going into his senior year. “I feel that our bond has gotten much stronger. This year it feels like a brotherhood” Johnson said after being asked about what the team feeling is like at the moment. “Practice is running so smoothly and the older guys are mentoring and helping out the young guys which is what we need”.
Last year the Titans went 5-6. Their season ended after a devastating lost to South Fayette in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs. They are looking to build on what they had from last year. Returning for the Titans are names like such as Johnson, Mo Demery, Novosel, McMillan, Olgetree, Schofield and Gooden. These are just a few returners from 2019.
The Titans schedule is posted on the website and our Facebook.
