Multiple Teams · Full Week Ahead

Next week we are LOADED with home games and they are all conference games and very important.

Girls basketball takes on rival McKeesport Tigers on Monday. This game will be pivotal because the 3, 4 and 5 seeds in the conference are so tight and stealing a win against a top team will help the Lady Titans move up in the standings. This game will see Jhayla Bray who averages about 21.4 points this season and 15.5 rebounds per game. WM will need to be able to stop her in order to have success in this one. Thursday vs Southmoreland will also be a tough game but a winnable one. The Scotties are filled with height. They have at-least three 6 footers in their lineup. Titans tallest player is 5’10 in Conley. One out of two wins this week would help the Titans out tremendously.

Boys Basketball also has a tough week facing TJ and Montour. Last year the Titans played TJ in one of the last games of the year. It was a great game and Titans fell  just short. This year though. WM is a very young team playing mostly sophomores. Moore and Payne are their leading scorers and will need them to step up big in order to beat TJ on Tuesday. Montour is the same way. Tall, physical and skilled. They throttled the Titans in both meetings last year and the Titans look to stop that this year. The Titans have dropped their last 9 games and look to stop that skid this week.
