Titans News · West Mifflin Nabs Win Over Frazier Despite Early 3-Run Inning


Despite allowing three runs in the third inning, West Mifflin defeated Frazier 11-3 on Saturday. Frazier offense in the inning was led by Dorcon, Mcqauitt, and Hayes, who each had RBIs in the inning.
West Mifflin got on the board in the second inning. Shane Anders drove in one when he tripled.
West Mifflin notched five runs in the sixth inning. West Mifflin’s big bats in the inning were led by a single by Jake Walker, a sacrifice fly by Ryan Lang, a fielder’s choice by Eric Link, and a double by Owen Visnesky.
Anders earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for West Mifflin. He allowed three hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Walker and Corey Maha entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Dorcon took the loss for Frazier. He lasted two innings, allowing three hits and five runs.
Mcqauitt started the game for Frazier. He went four innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out six
West Mifflin totaled nine hits. Walker and Maha all managed multiple hits for 2019 West Mifflin Varsity. Maha and Walker each managed two hits to lead West Mifflin.
Frazier didn’t commit a single error in the field. Dolbrys had the most chances in the field with five.
